Case studies
University lecturing & tutoring
As a practice we encourage our employees to be part of the community of the next generation of architects. Emma Tanti, project Architect, has recently been a guest tutor at Liverpool University.
Emma was invited by the University for the 3 year final critical reviews of the studio projects, the purpose being to get a fresh perspective from practicing architects and offer some last minute constructive views to the students before final hand in.
Students display and present their work, their designs being very advanced by this stage. The visiting tutor feeds back to the student whether their scheme is understandable and communicated well, where improvements could be made and allows students to explain their scheme to someone new in preparation for their final interview.
Emma says "Its really great to be involved in the next generation of architects and help build their confidence prior to their finals. I love to see the schemes they have developed and help them put a real life perspective on some of the issues of design that crop up. I really enjoyed it and hope to be invited back next year!
