We are witnessing increasingly sophisticated
demands on the built form from people with
varying needs; from those with physical impairments
at a young age to older people with memory loss.
We have studied at length the needs and daily lives
of patients and residents in order to design
buildings which can contribute to their care and
general wellbeing.
We have travelled the world to bring back the
best knowledge and expertise in the sector. Damian
Utton recently completed a trip to Europe, North
America and Australasia visiting over 60 homes built
for people with varying degrees of dementia. This
experience has been soaked up by the architectural
teams working in this area and is a clear benefit to
their design solutions.
It is our view that the built form affects the people
we are designing for in this sector far more than in
any other building type and we relish the detailed
design of each and every scheme.
