NCF 2011
We recently attended the NCF conference at Tortworth Hall on 7th & 8th November.
Understanding the customer's experience ... that's what we mean by Personal Architecture.
The Pozzoni principle is to get under the skin of each brief and make every design a personal response. We strive to understand the needs, aspirations and objectives of our clients in order to create an environment which allows for the best delivery of care to the residents who live there.
When asked to design a new home for older people we aim to understand the needs of residents and those who care for them.
The detail in the Pozzoni design works to make a huge difference to the daily lives of those who live and work in the completed buildings. For example, many residents at one particular care home sometimes have to spend much of their day in bed, so windows were designed to be positioned at a lower level. This has helped to provide a sense of light and space whilst allowing for an uplifting view of the gardens.
The result is architecture that is personal to those who live in it. It is a testament to the vision and insight of the client and the working relationship of the team.
We work to understand how people will use and relate to the built environment and then apply this knowledge back to the client's brief in consideration of current legislation and the surrounding environment.
