Pozzoni listed as top construction employer
20 October 2009
Pozzoni, the Altrincham-based architecture practice has been listed within the UK construction industry's top 50 good employers. The national Good Employer Guide has been announced, also placing Pozzoni within the top five architecture practices in the UK by Building magazine.
The survey was compiled following interviews with staff to gain feedback on issues including their own job satisfaction and their thoughts on their employers' social responsibility. Pozzoni was rated highly due to its work in developing the Pozzoni Academy - a training scheme that provides a development foundation for the career progression of its team.
Senior partner, David Hughes commented: "This is a real testament to the culture that Pozzoni has developed over the past 26 years. We have worked hard as a business to create a working environment that fosters long term relationships with both our staff and clients .
"To be placed within the top five UK architects practices demonstrates that we place our staff at the heart of the business, recognising individual contribution and encouraging participation in the development of the business from every level."
Pozzoni undertakes work for a variety of private and public sector clients nationally and internationally with award winning schemes in the care and leisure sectors. Building on its expertise here in the UK, the practice has recently been invited to participate in a limited competition to design a care home in Sydney, Australia. Senior partner, David Hughes will also be a guest speaker at a number of care sector events in the US in November including the AAHSA (American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging) annual conference and at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
