Brians 'name in lights ' in Building for Leisure Magazine
09 March 2011
Featuring in the February 2011 edition of Building for Leisure Magazine is a 3 page article about our leisure team and how they have dealt with refurbishments to local authority leisure centres over the last 14 years.
Entitled 'First Impressions' the article talks about the way in which leisure centres welcome and engage with people impacts upon their usage and income. As Brian says "Many of the traditional local authority leisure centres we are commissioned to modernise have similar challenges; they are not expressed externally, with poor access, hidden or low profile entrance areas and little visual evidence of the building's purpose. They simply don't encourage people to use them."
The article continues by explaining how issues have been overcome with examples from live projects and how this has encouraged an increase in usage, resulting in an operating profit for its owners.
