Efficient, Affordable Homes Completed
26 July 2011
Attractive housing scheme Wilmslow View, Handforth, is complete.
The development from Symphony Housing Association (formerly Contour Housing Association) offers 21 new, spacious apartments with fitted bathrooms and kitchens with integrated appliances. It is in a popular location, close to local amenities and the motorway network. The apartments are efficient to run achieving Level 4 in the Code for Sustainable Homes. They include a range of renewable technologies such as photovoltaic panels to harness electricity, and rainwater harvesting to reduce demands on metered households by reusing rainwater for washing machines and flushing toilets. This ensures service charges are kept as low as possible.
The interiors have been designed by Pozzoni Interiors who won the contract to fit out the 21 apartments, and also the office/community space that the building contains. Margie Martin, Interior Designer states "This development has been considered down to the last detail; from the communal stairway spaces to the kitchen and bathroom components, we have designed in a contemporary yet domestic feel that appeals to the target group of 25 - 35 year old professional individuals and couples. A high quality finish has been achieved and we hope that the new occupiers will enjoy their surroundings."
The development is part of the Governments HomeBuy scheme which enables first time buyers to get a foot on the property ladder.
