Farnham Leisure Centre wins in Waverley Design Awards

Following a judges visit to site our work on Farnham Leisure Centre, Waverley has won the 'Alterations and Conversions' award in the Waverley Borough Councils biannual Design Awards for 2011.

The Waverley Design Awards scheme, introduced in 1995, is to encourage an interest in the quality of the built and natural environment of the Borough. The scheme also promotes an awareness of the need for high standards in design including planning, architecture, sustainable development and landscaping.

In this category the judges look at how the development responds to the original building and the character of the area, and for high quality detailing and workmanship in the finished design.

The 2011 Waverley Design Awards will culminate in a ceremony that will take place on 7th December at the University of Creative Arts in Farnham.
