New Year Design Award shortlisting for Pozzoni
03 January 2012
Starting the new year on an upbeat note we are delighted to have been shortlisted in the Pinders Healthcare Design Awards 2012 in the Category of Best Independent Living Design for its Belong Village at Atherton.
In their thirteenth year, Pinders Healthcare Design Awards have become the premier accolade for those involved in the design, construction, funding and operation of Britain’s care homes, apartments, extensions, retirement housing projects and care villages across the UK.
The Healthcare Design Awards seek to acknowledge the contribution made by designers, architects and the owners of care homes, hospitals and other care schemes to the well-being and quality of life for those in their care. Whilst architectural standards and innovation are key factors, the overriding test for any project is the degree to which it has recognised the needs and desires of the residents and incorporated these into the final design.
Jon Chapman, Director at Pinders, in his recent communication to us stated “…with so many designs of a very high standard, the task of selecting the very best as finalists was harder than ever.”
The finalists in each category receive a framed certificate to commemorate their achievement and £500 for their chosen charity. The winners of each category will also receive a specially commissioned award for display within the winning home. We have chosen the Alzheimers Society as the benefactors of this money.
This year’s prestigious Awards Luncheon will be held at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 22nd March 2012, where over 500 guests are expected to enjoy the opportunity of networking. The main sponsors are Santander, Lloyds TSB, Chandler and Co, DC Care and Leadbitter Group.
