Pozzoni to speak at ECO Build
15 March 2012
IT Director, Mark Stodgell and BIM (Building Information Modelling) Manager James Savage will be presenting in the Autodesk Theatre on Stand N520 at Eco Build in London 20 - 22 March 2012.
Asked to contribute due to being one of the leading users of BIM in the country, their seminar entitled ‘On Budget BIM : BIM isn’t just for big buildings’ will showcase Pozzoni’s use of building information modelling and collaboration methods in partnership with main contractor Kier, highlighting that full level 2 BIM is not limited to the larger projects normally showcased.
The case study is a new £3 million sixth form building at Poynton in Cheshire, a 1600 pupil secondary School. The fast track project program in order that the students can occupy the building at the start of the next academic year was procured through the North West Construction Hub and is currently on site. The partnership and collaboration on the scheme epitomises the UK Government’s push to a more efficient construction sector.
