Triple Top for Pozzoni Environmental Services
23 April 2010
A number of key developments for Pozzoni Environmental Services have come together to show just how much progress is being made in this important area.
- We passed our bi-annual ISO14001 Environmental Management System accreditation – a major reconfirmation of our ongoing and genuine commitment to the environment.
- We’ve signed up to ‘Halving Waste to Landfill’ – part of the government led Waste Resources Action Programme which promotes the halving of landfill waste by 2012 and have already held two workshops with design teams and clients looking at live projects and the measures we could implement to reduce waste and increase the recycled content of the materials selected. This is an ongoing process which we hope to apply to an increasing number of schemes.
- Cornbrook Court has been selected by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) as a pilot scheme for environmental assessments for housing refurbishment projects – one of only 14 schemes nationally, so this has a high profile label and is of major interest across the industry. Vanessa will carry out the assessment with support from the BRE and then we will feedback to them at the end of the process with our input directly helping to inform the nature of the final assessment as written by the BRE.
It’s great that we are getting some recognition and return for our vision, investment and progress on environmental issues.
