Objectives

The old ‘Arndale Centre’ was acquired by our client and we have worked closely together to identify various expansion and refurbishment initiatives.

The overriding objective was to improve the overall shopping experience through active asset management.

Our View
Stretford Mall has suffered in the past from a lack of investment from previous owners. Our view was that we needed to capitalise on its prominence at the heart of the local community.We set out expansion and refurbishment initiatives which could be implemented in stages.

The Results
Some of our proposals are currently in for planning approval but several have already been implemented as part of an active asset management programme which has seen footfall and trading performance increase dramatically.

The opportunity is now being taken to prepare a comprehensive masterplan and redevelopment strategy for the centre as a whole which will reinforce its town centre function as well as provide a retail destination in its own right.
