Loreto Preparatory School extension, Altrincham
We developed a scheme which would see the new classrooms linked with a practical activity space to the existing building. A bold curved rendered wall announces the new entrance with a splash of the school's colour. A simple palette of materials was chosen to complement the existing building and the leafy surroundings of the school. The practical space to the rear of the building links the two classrooms together and offers provision for creative activities. This space can be opened out onto the rear playground, sheltered by the glazed canopy which spans the entire rear of the building.
