Windrush Millennium Centre, Moss Side, Manchester
The project was to replace the Trust's run down premises with state of the art administration and teaching facilities as well as lettable start up business units to maximise the benefit to the local community of Moss Side. Working on a brownfield site, we created a horseshoe arrangement to provide a distinctive modern frontage to the existing streetscape, whilst offering the security of internal overlooking. The office building provides an open plan reception area that offers a communal seating and waiting area along with access to the building's shared facilities. Upper floors contain lettable offices and IT learning suites organised off a central corridor.
