Millhouse, Nantwich
This home incorporated one and two bed extra-care apartments as well as communal facilities such as a lounge, a restaurant, multi-purpose room and a hairdressing salon for use of all the residents, families and the surrounding elderly community. The home was designed to encourage local groups to use the multi-purpose room. The communal garden with a southern aspect forms the heart of the development. Millhouse was shortlisted for 'Best Extra Care Scheme' at Pinders Nation Healthcare Design Awards 2009 and was a finalist at the RICS North West Awards 2009 for 'Best Residential Development'.
