Pickmere Court, Crewe
A three phase Extra Care development, based around an existing sheltered block. 57 new apartments and 28 conversion/upgrades.
Phase 1 is completed, fully meeting Housing Association standards, Secured by Design and EcoHomes 'Very Good'.
Phase 2 completed 2011, includes new communal facilities. An additional floor was added to the existing 1960's 2-storey sheltered block, which was comprehensively re-planned. The communal block incorporates a 'green roof', Phases 2 & 3 are heated by a Combined Heat and Power Unit. The Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and EcoHomes 'Very Good' have been achieved.
Phase 3 is on site, comprising 22 apartments, a well-being suite and meeting room, and will complete the full enclosure of the site. Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 is the target.
