The Mall, Eccles

The Mall was acquired by Threadneedle some 10 years ago. The client was keen to look at an overall master plan to redevelop the town centre scheme to attract a leading foodstore, provide improved parking facilties and public realm as well as raise the overall offerr of the centre.

The proposed investment offers an opportunity to reinvent the Mall, a tired 60's precinct, and give it a new identity at the heart of the community.

We worked with the client and their consultant team to develop an overall regeneration strategy. As part of this exercise and following detailed public consultation, outline planning consent was received in January 2010 for the first phase of the scheme which comprises a 70,000 sq.ft foodstore, multi storey car park, improoved servicing access to retail and enhanced public realm linkages across the town centre.
