Low & Zero Carbon Feasibility Studies

Part L 2010 requires new build housing to emit 25% less carbon than those built to 2006 Building Regulations. This is in line with Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. To reach the higher levels of the Code, greater reductions are required which can sometimes only be achieved through the installation of a renewable energy source.

Low and Zero Carbon Feasibility Studies can be used to quantify carbon savings from different energy sources such as solar hot water panels, Photovoltaics, air source heat pumps etc to determine which is the most appropriate for a particular development. These studies help achieve the most efficient design but also maximise the credits awarded in the Code for Sustainable Homes assessment.
