Thermal Imaging Energy Surveys
Pozzoni can carry out full thermal imaging surveys of existing buildings to highlight key areas of unwanted heat loss and forward solutions to address each issue. Using a thermal imaging camera, it is possible to quantify energy loss and the associated costs so that a payback period can be given to any remedial measures to reduce heat loss and carbon emissions.
The photos above show the reduced heat loss from the rear elevation of a recently completed retrofit project in Rochdale. The benefit of the cavity, internal wall and loft insulation can be clearly seen, particularly around the window where the thermal bridge has been completely eliminated.
This picture is of our fire exit door - you can see the push bar running horizontally across the photograph. The vertical blue strips indicate a poor seal around the door frame where cold air is coming in stealing the heat from inside. We have since had the door fully draft proofed!
Identifying areas of heat loss and implementing measures to minimise these reduces energy consumption, lowers carbon emissions and saves money.
